Summer fun

Kicked off summer with some fun gigs last weekend - good to see everyone again.

We'll be doing a bunch of parties over the next several weeks and relaxing - but watch the calendar for special surprise shows between now and Labor Day.

Mid-June update

Had a few weeks off in May and it was good to get back in the groove again last weekend.

We had another great night at La Puerta on Friday - saw some friendly faces, and once again made even more new friends !

Saturday at Mulligan's was also fun as usual... thanks to Pat for taking care of us and to Margaret for having us back.

Looking forward to this coming weekend - We are bringing the RC show across the river again - This time it'll be Friday at The Minuteman in New Windsor on Friday for our first time there. And going back for another great time at Woodbury Bar and Grill on Saturday. Come on out !

We were back for another show last night at Woodbury Bar & Grill - it was even better than last time. We really like that place - great people, great atmosphere.

Vassar College Founder's Day

It was a great day yesterday for RC, playing at Founder's Day. In spite of the weather being a little rainy.

Everyone there really had a blast.

What an awesome event, thanks for having us.

It was great to be back at Quiet Man with the full band again. Thanks to all of our friends that came by to hang with us and party, it was a good time.

They did a nice job clearing out more room in the back for the band, and now there's a wood floor down so that folks can really dance.

We'll see you there again for another RC party next month.

Thank you Marcello and Woodbury Bar and Grill. Last night was a good time ... we made alot of new friends.

WBG - it's a great place to see and hear live music - Great food, drink, and the room sounds great. Plenty of room for dancing too.

So if you havent been there yet - you have to check it out. For our local friends on the east side, it's only 15 min down the thruway so dont be afraid to cross the bridge - it's totally worth the trip.

We are looking forward to being regulars there, you should too !

April 2008 Newsletter

Hey there Reality Check Fans -

We're announcing some exciting shows lined up for the month of April. We've got one or two shows a week for you this month, so there's plenty of chances to get out there and hear some great live music - and have a good time.

This weekend:
*Fri April 11 - 8pm - Back for our monthly appearance at La Puerta Azul. If you havent been there before, we highly recommend it. It's a beautiful restaurant with an awesome menu, a great bar, and of course they provide you with quality Live Entertainment. Please come out and see us this Friday.

*Sat April 12 - 9pm - Check out our debut at Woodbury Bar and Grill. This is the first in a series of monthly appearances there, and we are happy to be staking our claim at a new great venue west of the Hudson River. A really nice place - come for food, drinks, or both. And you know you'll get to hear all your favorite tunes as only RC can bring them.


*Sat April 19 - 9pm - We're back again at Mulligan's Irish House on 376. We had a great time there back in March, so please join us for our return. They draw a mean pint of Guinness, and of course we will be rocking the House. Come on by....

*Fri April 25 - 9pm - The triumphant return of the full band to the Quiet Man Pub. They've re-arranged the place to make more room for the band and for dancing - so we are really looking forward to a great party there - dont miss it !

Dubliner, Rocked

It was great fun rockin the Dubliner Friday night. We brought them some straight up RC Modern and Classic Rock, and now that they got a taste of the RC flavor - they'll be wanting more. It was good seeing everyone and partying.

Thanks for having us Brendan - We are looking forward to coming back again soon.

Just wanted to thank everyone that came out to La Puerta a couple of weeks ago. What a great crowd, we had a great time. There were alot of friends there, and we appreciate that.

We always love seeing our brethren local musicians hanging out at our shows and relaxing, while we do all the work!

Speaking of "local musicians", it was very very cool that Ric Ocasek was also there hanging out and listening to us for quite a while !

Anyways - we'll be back again at La Puerta next week (Sat Mar 15)... so we hope to see everyone again - it's always a great time there -

Are folks not going out for a drink and some entertainment on the weekends the way they used to...?

Maybe we need to tear ourselves away from the Flat Screen TVs, DVD players, and the Xbox, and get out to hear some Music again once in a while.

It's so important to support the Live Music scene on the local level, otherwise it'll definitely dry up. It's already happening.

Fewer and fewer places are featuring (quality) live music these days. So we have to show the owners that bands can still bring in the business.


Work is hard, so party harder!
